A talk; dormitory [NBML, RL, ?] WHO: Narcissa Lestrange, Rabastan Lestrange the younger WHERE: Rabastan's room WHEN: 26 December, 1001; morning SUMMARY: Apologies, talking and TDB. RATING: TBD
With the exception of checking on her husband and daughter multiple times throughout the night, making certain they were comfortable in the common room without disturbing them, Narcissa had not strayed from Alexander's room. She had needed the reassurance of seeing him there every time she stirred from sleep, knowing he was safe. So long as she knew Rabastan was with Meda ans she with Alexander, she at last could find the peace that had been missing during the time they had been gone.
But, once she had awakened for the day, there were things she needed to see too. Moving to Alexander's desk, she jotted out a quick note so he would know she was still here. Tucking the note under his palm when it was done, she kissed his forehead lightly and then murmured soft nonsense words when he stirred, until he settled again. When he had, she slipped out of the room.
The door to the room the younger Rabastan occupied was open, for which she was grateful, as it meant he was up for the day. It fit her plans, which, namely, was to apologize to him for her behaviour after her arrival. There hadn't been time in the last day and so to do so yet, more than briefly.
She knocked on the open door frame after she spotted him at his desk. "Might I come in?"
