This is Reggie Diaz in for Leon Martin with a Special Bulletin on the Student News.
The reign of terror at Abbott Academy has come to a close. Starting with the death of Lisa Kuper and ending with the death of the killer himself. The school year started off with the murder of Lisa Kuper, a soon to be junior. An autopsy later proved that Kuper was poisoned after her body was found in her boyfriend's dorm room. Tragically, Jasper McBride, Lisa's boyfriend, was found a few days later after having been slit at the the throat. McBride leaves behind an older sister who also attends Abbott. The third death was that of Ace Cliffs, a senior, who sustained a bullet wound and a stab wound to the right leg. His body was found along Vanessa DiCarlo's. DiCarlo, the head cheerleader at Abbott, is currently in a coma at Albany Medical Center. While searching the building today, the body of Sophie Carlson, a senior, was found and identified. An autopsy confirming the cause of death has yet to be done. The last victim of the serial killings at Abbott Academy survived the attack. Samantha Reynolds, a senior at the school, is currently being hospitalized for non-life threatening injuries she sustained while enduring the attack. An eye witness account says that Reynolds was saved from any further injury by Calder Driscol, a senior.
The perpetrator was found dead at the scene of the crime. Trey Driscol, a senior, was identified as the killer by eye witnesses. Investigators are still trying to piece together any sort of motive behind these killings. A candle light vigil for the victims of this crime will be held in the courtyard on Friday night.
