A/N: I was always dissatisfied with the abrupt end to the steroid storyline arc. Ben’s “I’ve already stopped” line was not enough for me. For what I know about abuse of any kind, it is not that easy (as shown with Ted’s crystal-meth addiction) so this is my take on it.
There is a sequel to this, which I will post at a later date.

Notes: No explanation needed of how they got back together. In my mind they were always meant to stay together even after the ambiguous ending of S5. They're together and that's how the story proceeds. I haven't written fiction in a long, long time. I'm talking about since 2003 and Queer as Folk was new and shiny to me. But, I've been feeling creative and nostalgic as of late. So, here we are.
