I know I'm seriously unupdated around here. I had no internet for several weeks, and am trying to get back on track with everything...
The most exciting Hanson news is that Ike and Nikki have welcomed another son! James Manroe Hanson was born on July 1st, weighing 8 pounds 11 ounces.

Zac and his wife Kate welcomed a son, John Ira Shepherd Hanson, on Tuesday in Tulsa.
The baby boy, who will go by the name Shepherd, weighed in at 8 lbs, 4 oz. "I am so overjoyed," the proud papa, 22, tells PEOPLE. "There is not an audience or concert that could ever stand up to the feeling of meeting your baby for the first time."
New mom Kate, 24, is equally happy, saying, "Shepherd is the most wonderful gift we could ever receive. We're already enjoying every second of this great adventure."
Though Shepherd is only a day old, he's already got a built-in playgroup: Cousins Ezra, 5, Penelope, 3, and River, 20 months (middle Hanson brother Taylor and his wife Natalie's children) and Everett, 1 (eldest Hanson brother Isaac, and his wife Nikki's son).
But Shepherd won't be the baby of the family for long: Isaac and Nikki will welcome their second child next month.
"It will be really fun to see [the] little ones grow up together," Zac told PEOPLE in November. "I know watching them is going to inspire a lot of music."

A FUTY post on H.NET about hanson day:
"In 1997, may 6th was declared Hanson Day in Oklahoma. Ever since that day Fans from all around the world have celebrated today as the first day our relationship began.
Thank you for being fans for 11 years! We have had a wonderful year meeting so many of you at concerts and as we have been taking the walk. We have been blown away watching how many people have been willing to take off there shoes, and spent a little time outside of there comfort zone. So many have begun setting up there own walks, raising money thru things like bracelets, buttons, T-shirts, and deciding to travel half way around the world and devote their time energy and heart to making a difference to people who can’t help themselves.
Thank you for being inspiring people, and for providing us with colors stories and tools to keep making music year after year.
Isaac, Taylor, Zac"

Hanson updated From Us To You yesterday:
"I know many of the fans who were at the show in Royal Oak tonight might have been wondering why we went on so late? I will put it simply... Someone found a bullet in the front row.
In a situation like tonight you find yourself thinking... how much do I trust our fans? How hardcore is too hardcore… But to be honest we trust all of you to watch our back even if it turns out there is someone who has it out for us. I would not want to be the person who was on the wrong end of a pissed off Hanson fan.
It was a great show and even with the way the night started, and about halfway through the set when we found out where the bullet came from (off duty cop) we were able to stop looking for the best cover we could dive to. In the end we had a great time. Here is to not being made into Swiss Cheese." ~ H.NET
Just for the record I would have been totally FREAKED OUT if I was at the show and knew that.. I'm glad the show went on, and with no problems. Scary though!

Rumor has it that Zac & Kate are having a boy. Seems like all the possible names that have been leaked (including.... Shephard...?) are boys names. Apparently Kate was seen with blue balloons, and Zac made some sort of comment on his kid giving him more reasons to buy star wars stuff....

Instead of posting each interview separate I’m going to start posting everything in one entry. Entries are sorted out in the memories section so there easier to find in the future. Since IJ was down for a while, I couldn’t get updates here fast enough. There’s a “uncensored interview” divided into 22 short videos that Hanson did for SXSW that you can find here

A little late (FUTY) |
[ |
April 10th,

Isaac made a FUTY over a hnet on Monday, and I just now realized it!
"Well we have just finished with rehearsal and are ready to get on the road, with some new songs and a lot of new cities. It has been way to long (3 months) since we were on the road, and though 3 months is not that long it feels like it because we have not been able move forward with the missions of "The Walk Tour". Poverty and AIDS in Africa are a daunting issue but I know that together we can make waves in the world to at the very least give children (the next generation) a chance to not be born with a deadly disease. Things like the "Great Divide" single on iTunes, the "Great Divide" T-shirt, and now the HANSON TOMS Shoe (that includes a download card with exclusive HANSON music) are giving shoes to kids in need and money for HIV/AIDS treatment and research. All these things are making a real difference in kids lives. So now we continue our walk... and there is a lot more to come. Thank you for you support on "The Walk Tour". See you on the road starting in LaCrosse WI barefoot and ready to walk a mile in someone else's shoes (or lack there of)."
