    Assassin's Creed II + Dragon Age: Collector's Edition
    I got Assassin's Creed II yesterday, and played it for a few hours. It is epic. It's pretty much Batman, though. Run cross rooftops, ambush people, and don't forget eagle vision. =P

    My Dragon Age copy arrived this morning: llwkekjr holy crap. I'm not touching it though, until I finish Creed. I will hide it away so it will not taunt me :|

    In terms of real life non-gaming things, I am continuing work on the novel I began during NaNo. I made the deadline a few days early and have simply kept on going. I'm not going nearly as quickly; if I did, I might be done in a week from now. Although given the amount of quiet time I expect to have on Saturday, I'm going to make a concerted push at it.

    Right now I'm at 57k, and I expect it to end around 80k. Maybe more.

    After it's done, it goes to the first readers, and I will roll right into the next book. And a short that needs written to see if I can get into an anthology.

    But if people wonder what I'm doing that keeps me offline at awake hours, that's it. I'm writing again, and it's such a brilliant thing. Amazing. Wonderful. I want to hug the writing mojo and keep it always. With luck, maybe I can.

    Going to bed early on meme night again. Oops. Will catch up on things tomorrow. Got off-kilter tonight when after we got home from the kidlet's school concert, our ( cut for oogie animal injury description )

    I'm glad I took him over, and glad we can get him towards feeling better soonest. But ohhh I am so tired now because I spent the day running all over the place at work, and then Chick's concert and then the er vet (who is a bit of a drive away) and my eyes are just closing. *yawns* Bed now for Deb. Yes, yes, very much so.

    I am not a Twilight fan
    Skepchick has a fantastic article that pretty much sums up my distaste for Twilight.

    If you don't have the time to read the whole article, here is the short run down:

    Just a reminder that this Friday is the big invasion plot. As always there will be one big thread to reply to for everything happening within B.C. itself followed by an OOC thread for you to post things all players should be aware of happening around them. So if your characters blows up a hallway, write in the OOC post that your character blew up a hallway.

    FOR THE CONSERVATION OF SPACE WITHIN THE THREAD so that comments don't get too out of control and unreadable, please keep the thread to WITHIN B.C. THREADS ONLY. If your character goes outside of B.C. to spread the news or start shit with humans or whatever you'd like, write up a thread as you normally would.

    P.S. If you have a character lacking plot for the invasion that you would like help plotting for, comment here. We'll help you come up with things to do, as will your fellow players.

    Dear Semester,

    You have dragged me through hell and back with all the reading, the papers, the sheer madness of what the instructors think that students should handle for one class...

    So, listen up! I have a 9 abstracts, two book critiques, one term paper, a discussion, four tests and some key terms to finish in the next 14 days. Don't you dare throw any more crap at me until next semester or you will get no love.

    Hell it is a miracle if I get out of this semester with my sanity in tact and grade that are at least passing.

    I would like to be having a life back.

    Fucking massive storm yesterday arvo. I couldn't go home. :| Thanks, The Weather.

    A (smaller) massive storm this morning too. There's going to be another one today later on, apparently. :| Hopefully when I get home first.

    Go to www.stormscapesdarwin.com and check out the photos on the 2009/10 chasers page. Awesome to look at, but it wasn't that awesome being in it D= The power kept fluctuating, and I got home late, bah.

    Photoshopping away :D I haven't been able to laminate anything for a while now because Kef needs to replace the ink in his printer. Hopefully by tomorrow, or I will be pissed D= I need something to do at home. I can't laminate if I can't print!

    The game store sent my 2nd copy of Dragon Age out with their apologies, and free AAE shipping! :D :D :D They said they didn't know why I was refunded for the original order.

    I don't care. I will have Dragon Age this week.

    EVERYONE is doing it...

    1. My username is ______ because ______: Once upon a time I used to go online by the handle Dragonsinger (yes, from the McCaffrey novels). That was shorted by friends to D-Singer and I used that until the internet became popular and it became pretty much impossible to get that as a name. At that point, I picked up Tryslora who was an old AD&D character of mine, and later an NPC in a game I ran online for like ten years. Yes, I'm a dork, but hey it's unique and I'm consistent!

    2. My name is _____ because ______: tryslora, because I never got around to setting anything different!

    3. My journal is titled ____ because ____: "Tryslora in the Hall of Mirrors" because I used to describe the inside of my mind as being the Hall of Mirrors -- a place of infinite reflections, which are sort of like the voices/characters that live there. Um. Yeah, okay, I sound nutso.

    Chick: *looking at me quizzically* How do you know that?
    Me: Lavender.
    Chick: *sighing* Right. You play a werewolf. Of COURSE you know when the full moon is.

    I am grateful to be able to have children who accept the voices in my head as a matter of course! I remembered this conversation this morning when I was trying to get to work because if I didn't KNOW full moon is tomorrow, I'd have guessed it was today, because OMG people driving like freakin' MANIACS out there right now. Yeesh. Honeywell Int'l almost bought me a new van! There are days when I swear my car has an invisibility shield on it because tell me, how do you MISS seeing a bright silver minivan? Really.

    Sometimes, it's the simple things, like finally finding a layout I like on IJ (and now I'll need to figure out how to customize it, but I'll get there). But TAG LIST. I knew it existed, I just... never managed to find one before this moment. I'm happy with this layout, stark as it is, because I see the bones. Now I just need to figure out how to add in graphics and make the colours less... intimidating and harsh on the eyes. I'll get there and life will be happy soon. But for the moment, I'm happy to have found the right bones.

    If I get it figured out, this could make good bones to use for character journals eventually, too. Given that the ones I have could reeeeally use some customization. It looks like I don't love them (wrong) or don't have the time or knowledge (er, correct on both).

    The Beyonder a being known to have god like power; a being that ushered what certain hero’s of Earth would call secret wars. But the Beyonder has been caught off guard in his period of rest.     Because of this disturbance of the Beyonders realm it leads to time rifts dimensional rifts bringing people from alternate universes where alchemy is a accepted science and the mystic arts are just as potent. Where time rifts open where earth is part of a federation of planets.

    Doors to realms like outworld are opened and people slipping through. In and out. What will be done? who notices? What are people doing. What are the rifts having on the earth natural cycle……you decide!

    I have created endless entertainment in my household by naming my Lego Rock Band character Draco. My daughter is mostly amused that using only Lego pieces that we've unlocked so far that I've managed to make him look a decent bit like Draco. It's really a good thing that my family is amused by me.

    Tedious, tedious. And no moar anxiety!
    I finished scanning last night what I hope to be the last comic for a long time. D= That double sized collector's edition of Batman vs The Incredible Hulk (lolz), so it was too big for the scanner. 2 scans needed per page equalled to 130 scans. Sorry, laptop, but it needed to be done.

    As for anxiety? For the past three days I've been silently freaking out, thinking I accidently chucked out a CD that had all my archived!Photoshop shit such as the .PSD file for Arcanum's layout. But I found it today, in an unmarked CD case. D= Thank. Fucking. Christ. This disc had everything on it that was exclusively only on that disc. All my asylums' layouts. I thought I had to fix up my now ye olde Joker journal's layout from scratch, but now I don't :D :D :D

    Going to add a goddamn seamless grass background to [info]arcanum_arx after Kef tweaked the code for me. I fucking hate blank whitespace. Or in this case, blackspace.

    My copy of Dragon Age hasn't been shipped. I checked my order again, and for some reason it's been switched to unpaid. :| I paid for it, along with some DVDs. Why the fuck, DVD Store, have you claimed I haven't paid for it? You sent me the DVDs. They arrived. But not my game. My game hasn't arrived. Apparently you think I haven't paid for it. I did. The $105 in total. It was a pre-order. Your site claims you only have 5 left now. I emailed you hours ago, and you haven't replied yet. I want my game, or my money back. I'm never buying from you again, DVD Store X.

    I finished NaNo this morning. The book isn't complete by any stretch of the imagination, but I hit the 50k and I'll keep on going until it's done. I have a small amount of faith in myself that I haven't had in a long time where my writing's concerned.

    As for my unintentional run at RPWriMo, if I count Draco's app and all, I'm fairly certain I smashed through 30k days ago. Quite possibly even without the opus of Draco.

    I'm so tired, but I feel accomplished. Now I'm going to go fight some Black Friday crowds. Because THAT is so sane, right?

    Somebody I watch recently (within the last month or so) posted icons of Nico Tortorella. And yes, I'm making my own set of him, but still... I'd love to know who it was. I'm like going through icon journals until I can't see straight and just not finding it, and going back through my flist is just way way way too sloggy. *sighs* And I don't think it even goes back far enough.
