Part Three: Jareth

It was two months later when I made up my mind to act on my gut feeling. I needed to see Sarah again no matter what ended up happening between us. It ended up being a night much like the last one that I saw her when I went once again to her house. The wind was blowing, an owl was at the window and my usual theatrics were occurring. I wished they wouldn’t but they automatically did when I ventured out into the Mortal world.

As I approached the house I saw Sarah watching out of the window. When the window blew open and I stood there she didn’t look at all surprised to see me confirming my theory that she knew that I was coming.

“Jareth,” she said simply stepping back from the window.

I took this as a sign to enter and dropped onto her bedroom floor. It was a different room to last time so the other one must have been her parent’s room. “Sarah,” I replied. Looking into her eyes I saw something that I longed to see, or I thought I did, passion. “I’ve missed you.”

I hoped she would accept my offer. I don’t know what was compelling me to make it but I new I had to do it. “I’ve missed you.”

“I missed you too, Jareth,” she replied.

I suddenly realised the distance between us was getting smaller and smaller. The lady in front of me had grown into a beautiful young woman, which only fuelled my love and desire for her.

“Come back with me,” I whispered before closing the gap and kissing her. I was surprised when she returned it but I loved every minute of it.

“Yes,” she replied simply when we pulled apart. With that she took my hand that I offered her and we went back to my castle.
