WELL NOW
Ask Amy tells rape victims they did it to themselves. Any words I would have for this are obscene and full of hate, and I'm trying to cut down on that.
Mike Briggs eloquently debunks the popular arguments supporting piracy one by one.
an NYT article on female desire.
Patrick Stewart on domestic violence. Beautiful.
fiction_theory's lovely post about and containing links concerning the relationships between agents and new writers. Specifically it contains a link to this remark by an agent:
I rejected a manuscript that I had been seriously considering last week because upon a cursory online search, I found a LiveJournal post by the author badmouthing me and several of my colleagues for what she thought were excessive response times. Well, that blog post cost her representation from at least one agent. (OH, and it was a LOCKED LiveJournal post. You do know that Google Reader doesn't respect locked posts, right? Well, you do now.) I feel like 'mind your damn manners jesus christ' should be sort of an acknowledged constant--ever heard of common courtesy, people? Especially in this type of scenario when you are asking a stranger to take a leap of faith. But entitlement, I have noted, is heavy in many young in America. Also LOCKED POSTS ARE UNPROTECTED AAAAAAAH **terrified** ETA: Falconesse with the math behind Harlequin’s vanity press: how many books you’d have to sell to break even, hidden costs, and the like. Recommended reading for anyone who wants to self-publish, vanity publish, or get published. This entry was originally posted at http://shiegra.dreamwidth.org/68349.html. 1) Post a list of up to 20 books/movies/anime/TV shows/video games/bands [fannish etc.] that you've had an obsessive fannish love or interest in at some time in your life. 2) Have your f-list guess your favourite character/member from each item. 3) When someone guesses correctly, strike through the item and put the name of your favorite character next to it.

: This entry has been brought to you by TEH HOMOSEXUAL :
I unfortunately do not have an icon gayer then Cecil but be assured that when I post with this icon, whatever it is that I am going to blog about is going to be 100% homosexual! And oh boy it is.
It started with the fact that I kept getting yahoo news feeds about Adam Lambert's oh so shocking AMV performance. I mean the critics were really harsh and so okay, I don't normally follow American Idols, in fact I generally and purposely try not to because to me American Idols is really just very.. generic.. But I decided to download the album, y'know.. just to see if it was any good.
It is, my friends, the most homosexual album on the face of the planet. No seriously, it is. And "For Your Entertainment" must be the king of all homosexual songs. The line "I'm gonna ride you until you blow"? yeah, that gave me a few warm fuzzies inside. So yes, I really do like the album alot and most of it has been tagged for "my favorites" on my ipod.
I was giggling over the song all the way home from work where two muses were expressly fighting over who got to use the song. We had a winner but there was alot of really dirty fighting involved and loser went home to said lick his wounds. OH WELL.
It's a really great dirty song, it really is. Well worth that people's sensibilities were sacrificed in the making of the song. You know what, good on him. The world needs a little more homoeroticism.

Glee fails, as usual
Glee: Hairography
So let me get this straight: those precious abled Glee kids singing over another choir is supposed to be fucking heartwarming?
You know what would happen outside of TV land, if you just started singing over another choir's performance? Nothing good, let me assure you. How fucking rude and entitled can these people be? So now treating performers with complete disrespect and undermining their efforts is 'progressive?' Fuck you, Glee.
Not to mention my disgust with the epilepsy joke.

Legend of the Seeker: now with 500% more delicious femslash! APPROVED. Okay, it's all subtext, but let me dream.
I've been reading books about World War II and the Vietnam war. Not the most pleasant, upbeat or rejuvenating of subject material. I feel a little worn out.

Last day of NaBloPoMo and WriSoMiFU
Just a small batch of icons for today. And it's the last day of NaBloPoMo. I've managed to post every day and I've succeeded on WriSoMiFu and written every day. I'm going to keep the writing up into December, but not the posting. Although I do still have a lot of pictures to icon so there will still be regular icon posts. ( Icons )

Black Friday: I survived despite the fact that people wanted to tear my throat out over a 29.95 cheapo piece of Wal-mart MP3-player shit. It was incredibly enlightening as to how greedy people acted. It may not of been that way at other stores, but remember who Walmart caters to. Luckily I had a half-dull exacto knife with which to defend my life.
You know 29.95 MP3 players = SERIOUS FUCKING BUSINESS.

I AM GOING TO MAKE KLAUS HEINZ VAN DEM EBERBACH SIM TODAY WHEN I GET UP.
I also convinced Jess that she needs to read Eroica for it's pure awesomeness, so I gave her links and if she needs to physically borrow the manga she can.
But he's going to have tons of international adventures involving espionage and tons of guns. <3<3<3<3<3 I am actually quite excited to make him as a sim. There'll be countless opportunities for adventure and let's face it, all of my sims downloads have actually BEEN with making him in mind.
I promise there will be posts of this epic-ness.

One Day, You'll Burn, Too....
A/N: The Idea of this Poem came from the incident that happened earlier today.... My Brother was telling my Dad something that my Mom did (that she wasn't supposed to do), and my Dad got really mad at her.... Then when I got in to the Car with my Brothers and Her, she complained about how Chris (my 1st Little Brother) was such a Nark and she was saying that she would get hurt because of him. And then she basically started to tell him that I was better than him because I didn't tell on her.... I may not be a Nark, but I'm sure lying doesn't exactly make me a good person either....
After that, Memories just started coming to my head, and I started to feel Depressed, so.... That is how this Poem came to be!
Please Forgive me if the Words are Repeated too much, if the Poem doesn't make much Sense, or if the Rhyme is a bit off.... This Poem, in a Way, has some Hidden Meanings.... Meanings that only I know....
