1. Anger She can hardly control her anger: two Purebloods, who should be striving to keep their world uncorrupted by filthy Muggles, were actually fighting against her idea.
She hates Muggles with a passion, but her contempt for blood traitors is immensurable. She kills Muggles and Mudbloods, but she wants to make blood traitors suffer slowly, so they can think about the errors of their ways.
She turns from the man, heaving on the floor. With a maniacal cackle, she points her wand at Alice and, once again, screams Crucio, knowing that this will make Frank suffer even more than his wife.

2. Lust
He saw lust in the eyes of men and women, many times. It started when he hit puberty, when the sulky orphan boy transformed into a handsome young man.
They desired him. He played the game when it served his purposes – like with that foolish old woman, who thought he could possibly have any interest in her?
Even after he became a monster, people desired him: Bellatrix, for instance. A pureblood from one of the most important families, married to someone of the same stature. She would leave Rodolphus in a moment for him.
But Tom only lusted for power.

3. Sloth
He knows he is considered slothful by the Order members: they say that Mundungus has never held a paying job, while they are all hard-working.
He begs to differ, though; he's also very hard-working. It's not easy to close deals when the law is after him. He must be nimble and know exactly with whom he's transacting business. That takes time and hard work.
And as far as holding a paying job? Those fools don't have the faintest idea how much a single Goblin-wrought silver goblet with the Black crest can fetch.
Especially now, that all the Blacks are dead.

4. Greed
His eyes are fixed on the sword: he'll do anything he can to have it back where it belongs.
And it belongs with the Goblins, not with the humans. Just because they paid for the objects, it doesn't mean they own them – a Goblin-made artifact will be forever the property of its makers.
He considers Potter's proposal and, despite it being a breach of Goblin law, he sees it only as a way to right a wrong.
He'll lead them all into Gringotts, but, when they finally make their escape with the object Potter seeks, the sword will remain there.

5. Envy
Everything about Lily disgusts her: she's a freak, with her pointed hats and magical wand, her books with moving pictures and mail brought by owl. She slaps her sister's hand when Lily tries to help Petunia put her hair up and the hairpins won't stay. With venom in her mouth, she tells Lily she doesn't want hocus-pocus done on her, and makes deaf ears when Lily says she can't do magic until she's of age.
Petunia has nothing good to say about Lily, but spends all her time thinking about her sister and the mysterious world where Petunia doesn't belong.

6. Pride
It's the highlight of her life: at fourteen, she's escorted to the Yule Ball by none other than the scion of one of the richest families in wizarding society. She looks down her nose at the other girls, proud to be the one Draco chose.
She goes to bed that night and falls into a blissful sleep; she dreams she's looking radiant in a white dress, walking down the aisle toward a smiling Draco.
Years after she's left Hogwarts, she crumples the newspaper into a ball and throws it in the fireplace. Astoria Greengrass? What did Draco see in her?

7. Gluttony
Dinner has just ended and, as usual, they've gorged on the excellent food. Their pockets are stuffed with biscuits, just in case they need a midnight snack in the Slytherin dungeon.
Or maybe they can eat them right now, before going to bed. Making plans to devour the biscuits, they turn a corner and, to their surprise, see cupcakes floating in the air.
They can eat the cupcakes now and keep the biscuits for later, they decide.

Later on they wonder why they woke up in a broom closet. They pat their pockets and grin: the biscuits are still there.
