In spite of the rumor mill, I've never seen that kid with anyone, and if the man's actions today mean even a little bit... well, I guess I should hope like hell that the kid isn't straight, if you're catching me. The General is honorable and all, on the battlefield, but this is new territory.
He doesn't know anything about that conversation Zack had explaining 'dating' to Sephiroth, or the hints that if Sephiroth ever wanted to explore that Zack would be willing to help him as a friends thing. (At least that's how I read the last installment.)
And it's interesting to see an outside perspective on this, how their friendship looks to an older SOLDIER, who's known Sephiroth longer than Zack, even if not as well. The comment about maybe his honour only applies on the the battlefield was interesting as well, or was it that Hendriks isn't sure Sephiroth will know what's honourable behaviour when it comes to relationships?
