D. Gray Man
Lost minutes into the second episode. When the main character is almost killed on the doorstep of the organization that's meant to take him in (and possibly help finalize his training) because the person in charge hadn't checked/cleaned his desk off in weeks. So he had no idea the protagonist was on his way - a letter had been sent.
Then as I was calming down from that stupidity, they flip to a flashback wherein the boy's original trainer promotes him then hits him on the head and runs away.
I can accept this is an odd part of Japanese humor. But it doesn't mean I have to watch this foolishness.
