The Other Half of Jarkai

Hello!

I'm the other half of the Jarkai writing team. You can call me Chosun, or as my partner joking calls me, The Chosun One. I too am excited to see everyone that has signed up. As a writing team we've been extremely prolific. I am very proud of our efforts into rather new areas. Silenus is a Star Wars/Silent Hill cross over. Most crossovers make me wrinkle my nose, but Silenus works. At least in my humble opinion it does.

So welcome to our little community! We're excited, and hope that you are too.

Welcome and more of an intro...

Hello there! I just wanted to thank all those who have joined the community and taken the time to write an introduction. I'm one half of the admin and [info]jarkai writing team, and I hope to see some prompt responses here soon.

As I said in a previous post, [info]jarkai writes heaps of fan-fiction, mainly in the Star Wars universe. Usually my co-writer and I come up with the ideas for our longer works together, and write each chapter collaboratively. When it comes to prompt communities, though, we tend to split up, each of us tackling whatever concept stirs us that day. When the pieces are roughed out, we hand them over for re-writes, which the other partner does, bouncing it back and forth like this until both of us are satisfied with the piece. That's how we'll be handling this community, I think, with my co-writer and I each picking our own prompt table.

Even though we said you could mix and match prompts, I'm very attracted to the TIME table just as it is. I'm quite tempted to try and write a multi-part story broken down into bite-sized drabbles that focuses on the last year Obi-Wan Kenobi spent with his Master, Qui-Gon Jinn. In fact, I'm fairly sure this is what I'll be writing. I've been wanting to attempt this piece for some time now, and I'm finally feeling the love. Of course, my co-writer and I also have two other epics on our hands, so it will come in fits and starts.

Anyway, good luck to all of you!

Finished Claims

Please let us know when you have finished your claims here. And also--congratulations!

--ETA--

Claims? There are no stinkin' claims. There are only prompts. 100 of them, in fact. Let us know when you finish the ten you chose.

Introductions

Please tell us a little bit about what you enjoy writing and what your targets for [info]1000words are in this post. It would be greatly appreciated if you would list what prompts you have chosen as well, but these can be changed at a later time if a certain prompt no longer thrills you. Simply append your original comment or make a new one.

(Note: the mods will give you a tag for your entries once you have introduced yourself.)

Also, in case you're wondering who those mods are...

[info]jarkai is a team of two separate writers working as one. Within the last two years, we have been quite prolific, contributing over 100,000 words to the Star Wars fandom. Our biggest fan-work to date is Silenus, a Star Wars / Silent Hill crossover. Considering the fact we managed to get a novel-length piece out of that combination, you might say our creative muse is not only dark, but twisted. At present, we are participating in two other writing challenges, [info]30_somethings and [info]50episodes. Hopefully we will also be using [info]kinkaweek to inspire our professional writing.

Rules

[info]1000words is a prompt community unlike any other. Other communities insist that you claim a character, a pairing, a fandom, or even a genre and then produce X number of pieces based solely on that subject matter. All that [info]1000words insists is that you write!
